Si pienso en Audrey Hepburn me viene a la mente su intemporalidad en el estilo y su elegancia natural, si , esa era la esencia de Audrey. Desde su infancia demostró su gran  amor al ballet y a la música  el resultado de  todo esto fue encontrarnos con  una  mujer bella  por dentro y por fuera. Desde siempre fue fiel a sus principios y eso se nota a la hora de vestirse siempre tuvo su propio estilo, ella educadamente rechazaba los cambios que no eran de su agrado. La  seguridad en si misma y la  inteligencia  le hizo saber cuales eran sus puntos débiles, fuertes y  sobre todo lo que debía o no hacer.

Todas las semanas examino las películas en versión original  como "Sabrina", "Desayuno con Diamantes", "Vacaciones en Roma" y "My Fair Lady", cuando escucho su voz cierro los ojos porque me encanta ese tono dulce, sereno y impecable.  Enfocó su filosofía de la vida en el poder del amor y esto le ofreció una fuerza interior que la encaminó durante toda su vida e influyó en su estilo. Su gusto por las cosas sencillas le hizo tener una buena relación con la firma "Givenchy", esta firma supo entender a la perfección su elegancia, simplicidad y pureza de esta maravillosa actriz. Ademas su amor por la  sencillez se refleja en sus fotos, nunca posaba le gustaba siempre la improvisación y eso la hacia más bella, su postura perfecta se debía a sus estudios de ballet, en las películas se refleja como saber tener una postura impecable y andar con gracia, feminidad  y eso le hacia tener unos looks con mucho éxito. Audrey Hepburn dijo:"La belleza de una mujer debe verse en sus ojos, porque esa es la puerta de su corazón, el lugar donde reside el amor".

"Audrey en acción humanitaria"

 Su actitud positiva  le hizo no temer a envejecer,valiente y humanitaria la  hizo ser embajadora de UNICEF, se dedicó a ayudar a los niños desamparados y quería combatir contra la hambruna visitando países de África y del sur de Asia. 
Según Audrey Hepburn :Desde que el mundo ha existido, ha habido injusticia. Pero es un mundo, cuanto más pequeño se hace, más accesible. No hay ninguna duda de que hay más obligación para los que tienen que dar que para los que no tienen nada.

Paseo Maritimo

Hoy hace 24 años que estuve pasando unas vacaciones en Bridlington y siguiendo por la Costa Este de Yorkshire y  hablaros anteriormente de Scarborough y Whitby viendo mis fotos y sintiendo un poco de nostalgia por aquel momento tan agradable que pase en esta localidad turística que pasé porque Bridlington es un lugar de diversión y entretenimiento más grande del este de Yorkshire considerándose además como la localidad más antigua como centro turístico ya que la revolución industrial era un lugar muy visitado aunque hoy en dia ha sido reemplazada por destinos baratos fuera del Reino Unido , aunque debo admitir que  a Bridlington le faltó el impresionante paisaje de Withby y Scarborough , no dejó de impresionarme sobre todo sus maravillosas playas, pasear por su galardonado paseo marítimo divisando el año mar.

Si nos adentramos en el casco historico incluyendo su puerto la hace más atractiva

, favoreciendo el acceso a otras zonas costeras como "Flamborough Head" y para visitar los espectaculares acantilados de "Bempton" que son uno de los tesoros de Patrimonio Natural designados en las costas de Inglaterra. la ciudad se fundó a una milla de distancia del mar alrededor de un Monasterios de Agustinos "Bridlington Priory", allí se construyó el puerto y el muelle para pescar

Dan Dyke

Dane Dyke es una zona de Bridlington que la hace diferentes a otros lugares costeros por que son diques hechos en la prehistoria, exactamente en la Edad de Bronce posiblemente destinadas para defender la zona. Los diques actúan como limite occidental aislando casi trece kilómetros cuadrados de punta. Estos se definen por los altos acantilados verticales, exceptuando las calas pequeñas que sirve de desembarco del norte y del sur convirtiendo en una zona fortificada y para la defensa de la población. sus bosques se extienden a dos millas y media a través de Flamborough Head. Me atrajo mucho este lugar porque también es un lugar donde de cria y  observación de las aves en tiempo de migración invernal.

 St. Mary Priory Church

Es fascinante visitar Bridlinton Priory Church , es decir la Iglesia Prioral de Santa María  de Bridlington, es una iglesia parroquial que fue un convento de los agustinos que la época de Enrique VIII se disolvió, destruyendo la sala capitular, el claustro, la tesorería  el Hall y la enfermería que con los restos construyeron el muelle, tan solo conservan la nave que tiene algunas modificaciones  y que hoy en día sirve como centro de culto y divulgación. Se conserva también la casa del guarda del convento como "Bayle Museum", lo más destacado de este edificio es el arco vermicular de la puerta principal, un pasillo interior da a un pasillo que accede a pequeñas habitaciones como a la portería y a la prisión, del tribunal de los priores se conserva la puerta, museo mantiene una variadas colecciones de la época.

"Bridlington Harbour Heritage Museum"

Adentrándonos en la parte antigua de la localidad llegamos a "Bridlington Harbour Heritage Museum". Este museo esta gestionado por la organización benéfica e The Bridlington Sailing Coble Preservation Society". La exposición principal es el Velero  de Coble "The Three Brothers" construido en 1912 , que esta amarrado en el puerto, el museo incluye fotografías  maquetas de la historia del puerto, diorama de las técnicas de pesca, presentación de  un vídeo y galería de arte donde exponen los artistas locales su arte para poder venderlos.

"Sewerby Hall"

Otro lugar que me encantó fue "Sewerby Hall" y sus jardines, situado a 2 km del norte de Bridlington. Esta casa de campo construida en 1714 es hoy un lugar de convenciones y exposiciones  con 50 acres de jardín en el que hay un zoológico y un aviario. dentro de esta casa está la sala Swinton donde se pueden celebrar ceremonias matrimoniales, conciertos y recitales de piano, reuniones, seminarios, actividades educativas, talleres de arte y celebración de bailes de salón, También hay una sala  dedicada a la primera mujer piloto en el Reino Unido llamada Amy Johnson, en 1959 su padre y su esposo Jim Mollinson  donaron todas las cosas personales y los recuerdos de la piloto, esta colección ha ido ampliándose por donaciones de otras fuentes.  Hay tambien y una galeria y sala de exposiciones donde temporalmente se exhiben colecciones de arte y fotografias.

Bridlington tiene un gran parque de atracciones para pequeños y mayores, situado frente al mar con gran cantidad de atracciones.

Playas 

Esta ciudad costera cuenta con una magnificas playas de arena, recuerdo los dias de playa, respirando ese aire marino, el sonido de las gaviotas mientras paseo por el paseo maritimo, las tardes de compras buscando un recuerdo para no olvidar nunca este lugar y mantenerlo siempre en la mente como tantos lugares que conocí en esa costa de Yorkshire.

Bridlington Promenade

If we go into the old town including the harbour makes it more attractive, Favouring access to other coastal areas as "Flamborough Head" and visit the spectacular "Bempton's cliffs  " which are one of the designated Natural Heritage treasures off the coast of England. The city was founded about a mile away from the sea around an Augustinian Monasteries "Bridlington Priory", there was built the harbour and fishing pier

Danes Dyke

Dane's Dyke Bridlington area that makes it different from other coastal sites that are prehistoric earthworks, exactly in the Bronze Age arguably intended to defend the area. Te escribo para felicitarte por tus 200 años  , tu  creadora "Jane Austen"  que en una época de cambios para la sociedad, escribió  enfocando su tema principal la precaria situación en la que se encontraba la mujer  que estaba determinada por el matrimonio que en  el periodo de la Regencia. El hombre ideal para la mujer era alguien que fuese lo suficientemente rico para que la mantuviese y las cuidara y les dieran la seguridad que necesitaba para poder sobrevivir en un mundo de hombres , el amor no era lo importante , pero ella quiso hacer de tu personaje en su obra "Orgullo y Prejucio"  una mujer con un rol muy distinto al de entonces, dotándote  de realismo y magistralidad,  con  una fuerte independencia, donde en tu vida era más importante el amor  que el estatus social o la riqueza, además la fuerza de tu integridad personal te hace  rechazar dos proposiciones que seguramente te hubieran asegurado tu futuro después de la muerte de tu padre . 

Tu eres el perfecto ejemplo de esa mujer cuyo carácter te hacen la más conocida y amada de las heroínas de la literatura inglesa, porque eres divertida, saludable, alegre, activa,  siempre con un aire fresca en tu cara y en tus formas de andar, eres  una gran amiga de  tus amigos, madura, abierta y compresiva, muy cariñosa con su padre,  aunque a veces te siente humillada por las estupideces y sandeces de tu madre y hermanas , excluyendo a Jane. Tu inteligencia es extraordinaria,   a través de tu amor por la lectura la perfeccionas y haces tus reflexiones y observaciones  basando en lo que has leído y tu experiencia personal y esto te hace original y reflexiva  y a la vez hace para tu padre el Señor Bennet seas su favorita , pero  en cambio para tu madre lo seas menos, porque ella ignora por completo los valores de su segunda hija  manteniendo que tu no eres mejor que el resto de sus hijas y me duele que su progenitora actué así, yo como lectora me di cuenta de tu inteligencia no solo en tu dialogo siempre impecable sino también en tus habilidades de observar muy bien otros comportamientos de los personajes que te atreves incluso descifrar sus personalidades. Aparte de los valores anteriormente descrito eres una chica valiente y tu creadora te hizo una mujer con unos ojos hermosos, la importancia de tus ojos ha sido algo simbólico en esta historia. 

Posees unas habilidades  para percibir la verdad de la situación y las personas , pero esas percepciones a veces no fueron acertadas por tu vanidad, prejuicios y impulsividad  estos defectos que te hicieron equivocarte  te hace más humana y sabia porque final supistes superarlos, todo el mundo es imperfecto después de todo. Me gusta a como te refieres con propiedad y buenos modales con todas las personas sin tener en cuenta la riqueza o los títulos. 

Querida amiga, porque te siento parte de mi, contigo he aprendido tantas cosas, la verdad es que siempre he querido imitarte, siempre he querido ser Elizabeth Bennet, pero por mucho que lo intento nunca voy a poder ser tu porque tu eres el personaje único y maravilloso que creo la maravillosa Jane Austen para enseñarnos a las mujeres de ayer y hoy que el amor en el matrimonio es lo más importante y aunque también la obra  muestra que no todas son como tu el ejemplo está   en  tu amiga Charlotte Lucas casándose con tu primo el Señor Collins. Se que te sentiste mal al saber la noticia porque sabias que eras un matrimonio de conveniencia y tu estas en contra de ello hay que ver  que ella no vio otra elección y ya con su edad ya no podía esperar a otro hombre, pues sabes que las mujeres de tu época no podían trabajar  el único trabajo que podían ejercer era  como institutriz o como chica de compañía . Ellas no podían  estudiar, desde pequeñas eran entrenadas para ser buenas esposas en el caso de quedar solteras dependian de por vida de su padre o el pariente varón más próximo a la linea de consanguinidad, vosotras erais siempre menores de edad pero tu rompes con todas esas convicciones  sociales desde la elegancia y la sabiduría.

Darcy  te encontró  hechizante también porque eres tan diferente de otras mujeres. No hay duda de que muchas mujeres que codician  la riqueza y el estatus  como Caroline Binglie que se moría por ser su esposa, tú eres diferente, tu quieres casarte por amor, y no estás impresionado por Darcy, la riqueza material y la situación social, te hacen  a estar en desacuerdo con él.

Ha llegado el verano y con ello las vacaciones, Este año no tengo vacaciones en verano, me cogeré un días en Agosto y me iré a casa de mis padres en Mogón (Jaén)  y disfrutaré de unos días en la montaña porque  el mar  ya lo tengo cerca de casa y me apetece  cambiar. Leyendo la revista AR me ha encantado el articulo que su editora Ana Rosa Quintana hace recordando sus veranos de la infancia con su familia. He tenido por un momento un sentimiento de añoranza, nostalgia y melancolía recordando  esos veranos, cuando llegaba las vacaciones del cole y me iba a Benidorm a visitar a mis abuelos que vivían  Ese momento era un sueño para mí, mientras Roquetas de Mar  era un pueblo pesquero y acaba de despegar hacia la industria del turismo. Yo anhelaba ese momento en el que todos los días íbamos  a la playa, la hora de la siesta como no dormía siesta me leía la colección de "las aventuras de los cinco" y las aventuras de una niña danesa que se llamaba "Puck". Lo mejor era la tarde cuando mi abuelo Juan junto mis hermanos y con mis primos Mani, Ramón y el pequeño Benji nos íbamos al parque y después a unos mini motos que eran como los coches locos que nos chocábamos unos contra otros, lo pasamos en grande, recuerdo nuestras caritas llenas de felicidad, pero el que más feliz estaba era mi abuelo Juan que era feliz siendo participe de la alegría y la dicha de sus nietos. Llegaba los fines de Semanas y siempre hacíamos grandes reuniones familiares, el que más me gustaba era cuando hacíamos una paella en la Cala de Finestra en un campo lleno de pinos mediterráneos y huertos de limones y naranjas, mi abuela Magdalena preparaba la comida y nosotros todos nos íbamos un poco más abajo donde estaba la playa y después divisábamos a mi abuela con un pañuelo  avisando que todo estaba listo para comer, era inolvidable esa convivencia familiar con mi tio Ramón y Benjamín siempre gastándonos bromas y eramos tan felices con  poco. Muchos domingos nos llevaban al parque de atracciones "Europa Park"y nos encantaba montarnos en las atracciones a veces teníamos pesadillas y nos daba miedo la casa de terror. Íbamos a el cine de verano cuando había películas infantiles,western o comedia romántica apta para niños.Hoy en día hay mucha gente que por la crisis no pueden salir de vacaciones por su situación económica y no le pueden dar a sus hijos unas vacaciones en un hotel todo incluido o alquiler una apartamento en la playa, pero yo soy de una generación que por no haber no teníamos  ni aire acondicionado ni lujos, ni nada especial, pero era muy feliz entonces y ahora recordándolo, pues sentirte querido por tu familia, disfrutando con cualquier cosa todo era cosa de imaginación y alegría, Este puede ser un verano estupendo si no lo proponemos,  todo esta en las ganas que pongamos. ¡Disfrutemos de este momento para que sea inolvidable!.

My Estival Memories in the Childhood

That moment it was a dream for me as Roquetas de Mar was a fishing village and it had just  taken off to the tourism industry.I longed for that moment where when I arrived, and every day we went to the beach,  in siesta time as  I never liked sleep I read the collection of "the adventures of five" and the adventures of a Danish girl called "Puck ".The best was the evening when my grandfather John with my siblings and my cousins ​​Mani, Ramon and little Benji we went to the park and then some mini bikes like  crazy car as we crash each other, we had a great time, I remember our faces full of happiness, my grandfather John was the happiest because he enjoyed  being part of the joy and happiness of their grandchildren. The weekends came  and  we always didlarge family gatherings, what I liked  it was when we made a paella in the Cala de Finestra in a field full of Mediterranean pines and  lemons and oranges orchards, my grandmother Magdalena preparing lunch and we  were going to the beach and then we could see my grandmother with a tissue warning that the paella was ready to eat, it was memorable that family life with my uncle Ramon and Benjamin were always joking and we were so happy with little things.Many Sundays we went to Amusement Park "Europa Park" and we loved to ride on the attractions we sometimes had nightmares and were scared the house of terror. We were going to the  summer cinema when there were children's movies,  also western or romantic comedy movies suitable for children. Today there are many people that the crisis  they cannot go on vacation for their economic situation and they cannot give their children a holiday in an all inclusive hotel or   rent an apartment on the beach, but I'm from a generation that  I have not  got air conditioning or frills, nothing special, but I was very happy then and remembering now because you feel loved by your family, enjoying whatever it was thing of imagination and joy, this can be a great summer if not I suggest, it could be  great or a nightmare all this in the urge to say. Let's enjoy this moment to make it memorable!.

Tengo que reconocer que soy una apasionada del crecimiento personal. Hace siete meses descubrí mi pasión por el crecimiento personal. En ese tiempo me di cuenta que no había nada más significativo que seguir una vida de desarrollo y mejora, porque yo misma soy consciente  que tengo que mejorar mi vida; lo poco que llevo buscando la superación personal, más me doy cuenta que hay algo cerca de mi misma que puedo mejorar.

El potencial humano es ilimitado, por lo que es imposible llegar a un punto de dejar de crecer. Siempre pienso que soy buena pero puedo ser aún mejor, así que os cuento cual es mi forma de mi constante búsqueda de auto-mejorarme:

Leo todos los días sobre todo porque siempre estoy en constante investigación, además los libros me llenan de sabiduría. Siempre estoy estudiando inglés y alemán porque soy consciente de que el aprendizaje de estos idiomas me dan habilidades y su proceso de aprendizaje en conjunto con sus culturas me dan una experiencia que me abre completamente mi mente.

Más allá de mis hobbies que son muchos, estoy encantada con las nuevas que he adquirido que es la costura y el patchwork, sin contar con la práctica del yoga y del pilates que con su practica me hace superarme física, mental o emocionalmente. 

Siempre estoy haciendo cursos, porque con ellos es una manera con el que obtengo conocimientos y habilidades,y además me han ayudado a ganar nuevos puntos de vista que no había considerado antes. 

He convertido una de las habitaciones de mi casa  en un entorno que establece  que tenga un  buen  estado de ánimo, inspirado en un estilo medio georgiano y victoriano, en el disfruto y me inspira a estar en mi día a día.

Hay una cosas que debo reconocer que son mis temores. Si tengo miedo a algo eso quiere decir que tengo que tratar me lo , por lo que acudo a mi Coach para que me ponga en tratamiento que me ayude a resolverlos y a crecer sin miedos.

Levantarme temprano ha mejorado mi productividad y mi calidad de vida y creo que cuando te levantas temprano, mi forma de pensar da como un impulso y me proactiva a vivir el día día.

Otras de la muchas cosas que me ayudan a superarme es dejar a un lado la comodidad , pues no me ayuda a crecer sino todo al contrario me ayuda a quedarme estancado, trabajar día a día dejando la rutina  a el lado. Hacer este blog me ha ayudado hacer algo diferente, y cada vez aprendo a actuar en nuevas circunstancias, pues en mi blog comparto mis experiencias personales y conocimientos con todos mis lectores.

Cada día establezco desafíos, en estos últimos años he subido de peso y estoy intentando perder los kilos que me sobran, hago ejercicio, como más sano y eso me hace descubrir cosas en mi misma que me hace reconocer mis propias debilidades y reconociendo mis errores, todo el mundo tiene defectos y yo no voy a ser la excepción. Lo importante es reconozco y los intento solucionar aprendiendo de ellos y pasar a la acción de superarlos.

A veces mi instinto de superación me hace pensar en las personas que admiro y las que me inspiran y reflejan ciertas cualidades que deseo tener para mi misma.

Dejar los malos hábitos como los alimentarios , comerme las uñas y llevar una vida sedentaria    cultivando otros hábitos más saludables que hacen sentir mejor.

Evito no estar con gente negativa , pues me hace perder mi tiempo y además no quiero implicarme en su negatividad y puede hacerme frenar en mi camino de la superación y yo tengo que avanzar, a mi me gusta disfrutar de mis buenos amigos pues cuando nos reunimos surge una energía de positividad que nos ayuda a superar muchas cosas.

Estoy aprendiendo a jugar al ajedrez es una de las cosas que siempre en mente y nunca hice y ahora no solo me divierto sino que me ayuda a ejercer mi capacidad de análisis.

La meditación como os conté en uno de mis entradas del blog me ayudan a calmarme y además soy consciente de mi misma. también he descubierto de que durante por las noches cuando medito antes de dormir, necesito menos sueño, por lo que siento que es un proceso de compensación de desorden muy liberador.

Romper con las pesadillas de mi pasado, el perdonarme a mi misma me ha convertido en ser mejor persona y seguir adelante. hace poco rompí con un pasado que me había llenado de angustias y depresión  durante 6 años. Lo recomiendo el efecto es muy liberador y enriquecedor y nunca  había sido más feliz.

Superarme a mi misma me hace comprometerme conmigo misma en crecer personalmente, abrazando a la vida avanzando en el camino del éxito  poner en marcha un programa de crecimiento personal  te hacen tener unos resultados que en mi caso han sido cambios positivos en mi y en mi vida ¡A superarse!.

ROAD TO IMPROVEMENT

I have to admit that I am passionate about personal growth. Seven months ago I discovered my passion for personal growth. At that time I realized that there was nothing significant to follow a life of development and improvement, because I know I have to improve my life, what little I've been looking for improvement, more I realize that there is something about myself that I can improve.

 Human potential is unlimited, so it is impossible to come to a stop growing. I always think I'm good but I can be even better, so I'll tell you which is my way of my constant quest for self-improve myself:

I read every day about everything in general because I'm always in constant research in addition to books fill me with wisdom. Whenever I'm studying English and German because I am aware that learning these languages ​​give me skills and learning process together with their cultures give me an experience I fully opened my mind.

Beyond my hobbies which are a lot, I am delighted with new ones that I have acquired that is the stitching and patchwork, without the practice of yoga and pilates with the  practice it makes me improve  physically, mentally or emotionally.

I'm always doing courses because with them is a way to get the knowledge and skills, and also they helped me to gain new insights that I had not considered before.

I converted one of the rooms of my house in an environment that  it sets  to  have a good mood,it is  inspired by Georgian and Victorian style, I enjoy it and it inspires me to be in my day to day.

There are things I recognize that are my fears. If I have fear of something that means I have yet to try the fear, so I go to my coach to put me in therapy to help me solve and grow without them.

Getting up early has improved my productivity and quality of my life and I think when you get up early, my mind gives me a boost and proactive day to day living.

Another of the many things that help me beat it aside comfort, as it helps me grow quite unlike helps me stay stagnant,to work daily leaving the routine away. Writing  in this blog has helped me to do something different, and every time I learn to react to new circumstances, because in my blog I share my personal experiences and knowledge with my readers.

Each day I set challenges, in recent years I have gained weight and I'm trying to lose kilograms that exceed me, I exercise, and healthier and it makes me discover things about myself that makes me recognize my own weaknesses and recognizing my mistakes, everyone has flaws and I'm not going to be the exception. What is important is the attempt to recognize and solve learning from them and take action to overcome them.

Sometimes  my instinct  of improvement makes me think in  people  who I admire, they inspire me and reflect certain qualities I want to have for myself.

Giving up bad habits as food, biting my nails and sedentary cultivating other healthier habits that make you feel better.

I avoid not being with negative people, it makes me lose my time and they do not want to get involved in their negativity and can make me stop in my way of improvement and I have to advance, I like to enjoy my good friends because when we met comes a positive energy that helps us to overcome many things.

I'm learning to play chess is one of the things that always in mind and T never did and now I not only fun but it helps me exercise my analytical skills.


Meditation as I told you in one of my blog post help me calm down and I am also aware of myself. I have also discovered that during the evenings when I meditate before bed, I need less sleep, so I feel it's a clutter clearing process very liberating.

Breaking with the nightmares of my past, forgive myself has made me a better person and move on. recently  I broke up with a past that I had filled me with anxiety and depression for six years. I recommend the effect is very liberating and enriching and I had never been happier than now.


Improve myself makes me commit myself to grow personally, life embracing progress on the path of success to launch a personal growth program it make you to have some in my case results  I have been positive changes  in myself and in my life to improve yourself !

Whitby vista de pájaro

Llevo unos días pensando en una cita que leí de Frida Kahlo que dice: Para que quiero pies si tengo alas para volar", asi que  me duermo y en ese momento me siento como Frida, y como una gaviota me adentro en mi sueño  hacia una pequeña ciudad  turística pesquera en la costa del norte de Yorkshire , ¿y porque Whitby?, porque fue un lugar que llegué por casualidad 

La Emblemática Abadia de St. Hilda

ahora forma parte de mis sueños  donde paseo por su antiguo y pintoresco puerto levantando el vuelo cuando llegó a su acantilado observando la desembocadura del rio Esk y los restos de las ruinas de la famosa Abadía  fundada por santa Hilda y  que data de  657 la historia de esta ciudad empieza desde las alturas divisando las callejuelas empedradas, las típicas casas de los pescadores,  las tiendas de artesanía, curiosidades y antigüedades.

La Subida a St. Mary church

Tras subir sin dejar el vuelo los 199 escalones a partir de sus centenarias calles llego a la iglesia  parroquial de Santa María, que tiene una encantadora mezcolanza de muchas épocas, sobre todo la torre y la estructura   son de estilo normando construido en el 1100, la iglesia nunca tuvo grandes reconstrucciones, pero tuvo varias ampliaciones  y lo más valioso es la talla de los bancos realizada por los carpinteros y artesanos de los balleneros en el siglo dieciocho.

Esta iglesia fue famosa también porque el escritor de origen irlandés Bram Stoker estuvo viviendo en esta ciudad durante 6 años y se inspiró una de sus escenas la novela Drácula (1897) en este lugar, Stoker. También visitaron esta ciudad otros escritores como Charles Dickens y Tennyson.

Bajamos de nuevo a el pueblo nos encontramos con el museo  en memoria del Capitán  Cook  donde podemos conocer la historia del famoso explorador que se instruyó aqui como  como navegante y además salió del puerto de esta localidad para cambiar la historia de nuestro mundo,  el museo es una antigua casa decorado al estilo de la época. También podemos observar en el museo las artes de pesca para cazar ballena se rinde un homenaje  la familia Scoresby fue famosa por dedicarse a este arte. No podemos irnos sin visitar

El mineral  Azabache 

Whitby también es conocida por mineral duro negro llamado azabache que se haya en los acantilados, este mineral se exhibe en el museo de historia de Whitby dándonos toda la información sobre esta preciosa gema su historia arqueológica y social, en la época victoriana estuvo en auge como como pieza importante en la joyería y en la ornamentación, la Reina Victoria lucio unos pendientes y collar de este mineral como atuendo funerario.

El Puerto de Whitby

si paseas por el puerto de la ciudad ves que hay mucha animación se pueden ver los pescadores limpiando, cosiendo o ordenando los barcos para salir a faenar, también hay barcos donde hacen excursiones para los turistas donde explican la ruta de la pesca de la localidad, todavía existe allí los famosos "Smoke Houses" o casa de salazones, donde exhiben el proceso del salazón de arenque, allí puedes comprarlo.

El Famoso Fish & Chips

Una de las cosas por las que Whitby es famoso es por su Fish & Chips es decir por su pescado y patatas fritas que se dice que es el mejor del mundo. Después de visitar muchos lugares del Reino Unido tengo que decir que están en lo cierto. El pescado y las patatas fritas de Whitby normalmente se fríen de la manera tradicional de Yorkshire, la mayoría de lugares utilizan el pescado desembarcado de los barcos del muelle pesquero. todos los restaurantes están a tope, por las calles y dársenas del puerto se ven gran bullicio de gente con el paquete de pescado y patatas frita. 

Parque Nacional de los Páramos del Norte de York

Saliendonos del puerto nos dirigimos al interior de Whitby para visitar el Parque Nacional de los Paramos del Norte de York, hay un tren de vapor que recorre todo el  parque pasando por "Goathland" con sus conexiones a "Heartbeat" y "Grosmont" donde a través de los viejos cristales del tren podemos ver maravillosos páramos y valles con bonitos pueblos divisados desde la lejania.

Todas estas extensiones de glorioso campo están asociado con James Alfred Wight  que escribió bajo el seudónimo James Herriot  If Only They Could Talk, que trata sobre su trabajo como veterinario en el Yorkshire de los años cuarenta y su vida en la RAF   durante la segunda guerra mundial .

Este tren también hace otras rutas hay que destacar  "La ruta del Capitán Cook" hace un recorrido por los pintorescos pueblos pesqueros de Staither y Runswick, al sur de Whitby está la bahía de Robín Hood, el cual tuvo su importamcia en la época victoriana.

Me despierto y de nuevo ya he vuelto a mi destino mis alas ya están descansando para el próximo vuelo ¿donde será?

I have been thinking for few days  about a quote I read by Frida Kahlo that says" do I want feet if I have wings to fly ", so I fall asleep and then I feel like Frida, and as a seagull in my dream I enter into a fishing small tourist town on the coast of North Yorkshire, and why should Whitby?, because it was a place I came about  by chance.

Emblematic St Hilda Abbey

Now it is part of my dreams where I let my imagination fly in the  picturesque old port flying off the cliff when he reached watching the mouth of the river  Esk and the remains of the ruins of the famous Abbey which was founded by St Hilda and  dating history 657 this city starts from above the cobblestone streets spotting, typical fishermen houses, craft , curios and antiques shops.

Fish & Chips

One of the things that is Whitby is famous for its Fish & Chips  which is said to be the world's best. After visiting many places in the UK I have to say  I agree with this. The fish and chips are fried normally with the traditional way of Yorkshire,  the most places use the fish landed from boats fishing pier. All restaurants are maxed out, on the streets and docks of the port are great bustle of people with a pack fish and chips.

National Park North York 

Getting out of the harbour we headed into Whitby to visit the National Park North York stopped, there is a steam train that runs around the park through "Goathland" with its connections to "Heartbeat" and "Grosmont" where through old train windows we can see wonderful moors and valleys with beautiful villages spotted from the remoteness.
