I AM SPECIAL AND UNIQUE

I have always been seeking the love in other people and I have never felt that the people and I have never felt that the people loved me, but the reason for this is I have never found the true love, because I have never fell in  love of myself. One of the ten commandments says "Love your neighbour as yourself", and I studied them, but  I never put myself  to reflect on this command and I think that first I have to love me to love others. I confess that until very recently I did not love myself, I was dedicated on others, but Carmen  Gijón told me something in a coaching session that made me think something I was going wrong, you always flight in  a plane when the stewardess  explain the steps to follow in case there is an accident, one of the first steps is that you will have to put the oxygen mask and then  you have to put it to your children, it seems a bit unnatural, but it is so  long as  mothers think first in our children and after us, but if you're not well, you do not love yourself,  you do not take care yourself , you cannot do it to others.

I was like that once, but I'm following my own ritual that is watching me and asking questions, stop naked in front of a mirror for a long time, under an unflattering light if possible. Trace the ups and downs of small waves on the skin, scars, dimples, cellulite and I think how much I try to hide these things from day to day. I wonder why I hate them so much, and so much hatred resides, or maybe it's that I've been saying all my life to myself how bad it is to have physical defects.

I wonder what I think of my body if I've never looked at a magazine full detail if I've never thought of celebrities or models, if I never had to wonder if someone rate on a scale of 10. Watch me them until I go back in time and think since when is this here and now I can improve it.

I started listening to music that makes me love myself, mourn and dance with uninhibited gladness, and I can repeat the song as many times as my heart desires. I think what kind of person I am, when I listen my favorite song on headphones and walk down a street, I think how happy I am with everything I have, swinging hips and smiling for no reason,I remember how many things I like about myself in those moments and I had not noticed and I wonder  am I willing  to forgive?, how do I secure myself? .

I started writing a list of all the things I like about myself, at first did not know whether to or not, because I thought that was an activity self-indulgent and narcissistic, but since I started doing it I realized how much I like, I have not achieved great triumphs, but positive thinking I see all the beautiful things I've done in my life and I feel very proud of myself, I feel special, unique and unrepeatable. I try to understand few things have made me happy, how many things I can be proud of myself. I wonder why some forces limit me to do things that make me proud, why do I establish so many obstacles  my own happiness and satisfaction and to any other person?.

I stop writing my list to read that I have set, I give these words a touch and special care, show the same care and patience than you would with someone I love more than my own life. Now I pour the cream that I like making small circles at the elbows and hands because when it's cold and my skin is dry and cracked. I make hot soup, I snuggle with some pillows to see my favorite movie and I light some candles  letting her shine flicker against my body, admiring how nice they are, how delicate  is their warmth, I wonder why I  let me do the same.I put my feet in hot water at the end of a long day, until they forgive me walk on them for so long, without even a "thank you".

I am patient with myself, and I do not care if you do not turn off the light, if I did this or that and that brings me abruptly to "paralyze the doubt" or "no compromise in love ." I try all the fear and awkwardness, with varying enthusiasm I would do a  something strange. only try  to be kind, be loving, and remember all the things inside me that  it is worth loving.I hear a voice inside my head that  it tells me both sadness and anger, "I am ugly, stupid and boring. But in the fleeting moment I pay attention and remember longingly," even if that were true, it is worthwhile  falling in love  with oneself".

I say good bye with Ofra Haza, her music inspires me beautiful thing.

Anne, Yo y Scarborough

Anne, Me and Scarborough

As I already told you, last year in Easter, I went to United Kingdom to look up for my research paper that then I was doing and when I arrived at my destination, I had this urge to visit again Scarborough, because there it was my dear Anne Bronte's grave to which I feel very connected for twenty years. As I do, a journalist declared in 1897 that "it is imposible to stand next to the grave of the author of Agnes Grey and The Tenant of Wildfeld Hall without longing to research more about her". What will this place have that both loved it!. In the Coastal Location, Anne worked as governess in the nineteenth century both used to go for a walk the South Bay's golden sands every day, the same place which she described in  Agnes Grey, penultimate chapter. She was so happy in Scarborough and her schemes were to live there, she wanted to build a school and to continue writing as well as she used to do if she had not died so young from tuberculosis. she wrote in her diary: "I did not fear death, I think that is something inevitable, even I think that I can resigne the idea...but I wish that God granted me a little more time for my father and Charlotte to get used to the idea, and also to do something good in this life before I go, I have many plans within my head for the future, I would like to do at least some of them but may God's will be done in all of this".
This picture was taken from  the Grand Hotel balcony, this is the view  that Anne took from her window in Wood accommodations where she stayed in her last trip, the night before he died from her chair, Anne drew  Photo view and  she said "the night is closing with the most beautiful sunset he had ever witnessed".The prostrated castle then  on the cliff was proud and glorious  with golden colors that the rays of the setting sun had coloured". Her face  face brightened almost as much as the scene  she described .If we look the skyline on the left, it is Saint Mary Church,  where Anne was buried , in the other side   you can see a yellow and red buliding which called Futuristic Theater , on the right  just beyond it is a red building located at the foot of the cliff from 1868-1900, this building was the famous watering place where high society came in summer to take  medicinal waters and breathe seawater.
Before 1868 and during the period that Anne visited Scarborough, these baths were next to the  futuristic theater, at the end of the novel Agnes Grey, Agnes lives in a coastal town whose name begins with "A. ..", but it is clearly identifiable as Scarborough. She made a graphic description of Scarborough South Bay and mentioned that she went to get a cart of seawater to have  a bath.
Scarborough has a significant medieval castle, which played a prominent role in national events as an important gateway to the North East of England, and the architectural significance of the great thirteenth-century defensive tower. Although some aspects of the  castle history is well known, but  archaeological research has been limited, leaving  plenty more scope to a subsequent review. What strikes me is that the old part of town was the level of the fishmen's houses with their red roofs, with large alleys and steep stairs, which  you get quickly  the docks and piers. The breakwater further intensifies the white lighthouse tower. Bordering got to North Bay where you  can spot as  merchant ships  pass to other places. Let's go around the city and inspect places where keeps all that remains of the ancient Scarborough. You can observe sea port just on the hill  beyond the dock making a turn half moon shaped and  it serves as stairs and streets, yards from the harbor and the scenery is quite narrow and dark is interesting bits of architecture that are half hidden in small cuts, the windows seem to have emerged from the roof, balconies, ceilings with  continuous overhangs, landings lead you to the street where the doors and entrances show you the second story of the house.
I saw several homes with shutters dingy up. Near the port there are several houses in the fourteenth and fifteenth century, when it is made an assessments it seems like the top protrudes from the bottom, these houses inhabited captains and skippers  long ago, if you go up Quay Street we found the house, that it is like a palace  called smugglers palace, because here  the Kidd family lived for generations  and  they were involved in smuggling,  it is a  house with  three floors ,  with a gable roof,  yellow walls and friezes were made of wood to make boats.
what is striking is the bottom of the house, now a store with a great viewpoint over the bay, at the entrance next to the stairs, there is a wardrobe that had no bottom, was the secret hideout where the band always escaped when they came to look for them, the strings are still hanging to the ceiling that led them to the basement and out came to castle Hill.
Down to the beach we found the museum rotunda that is one of the oldest museums in the United Kingdom, is a round building hence the name. This listed building was built in 1829 by the father of English Geology "William Smith", this man was a pioneer in the collection of geological strata could be identified and correlated.Smith arrived in Scarborough after his release in prison for debts, and did a good job with all of Jurassic fossils Yorkshire coast.
Another connection I have with the place is the song Scarborough Fair, was the first song that I memorized in English with four years and I have always in my meditations, has been sung by many artists, Simon & Garfunkel's introduced in one of their albums. The name of Scarborough Fair  refers to the market or  Fair, which in medieval times represented a major commercial landmarks in England, with a huge market that lasted for 45 days from on 15th August. This market was the place to meet people. The song is about a young man who has been abandoned by his girlfriend. The text invites the listener, as the case to go to Scarborough Fair, to ask his old lover, if he wants to believe again in their love of all things make him impossible as a linen shirt without seams, get ground between the beach and the water, plow there with a ram's horn (the lambs do not have horns) and make a plantation with one peppercorn. In the second verse of each stanza are repeated those words and are a key reason the song, ie: parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme probably as a symbol of the qual ities that the singer wants that he and his beloved have to enable their return. Another possible explanation for why these plants are repeated throughout the song,  it is that these, it was believed,  it could form a love potion that was very popular in medieval Media. If you do not find me one day, you know where to find me , Anne and I'll be there just as happy in this wonderful place visualizing a new sunrise. enjoy yourself with this video, close your eyes and listen to this song, do you see the same? tell me.

Voy a Crear Circunstancias

I am going to create Good Luck!

This Easter, I went on holiday to the village of my father and I took a book which my dear friend Carmen Gijon coach recommended me that I read " The Good Luck" by Alex Rovira and Fernando Trias de Bes Mingot. It is a beautiful story, a very short story, but  it is very interesting, I read it in one day, although I had a lot of  difficulty in understanding it,  therefore it took me all  week  to assimilate the ten rules of the Good Luck, I am sharing with who like me, want to apply or continue to apply with your day-to-day.

When I started reading the book  I found it very  pleasing, it  reminded me the story books  that I am used to tell my children about “Sword in the Stone” and I was another little girl but then I found myself with this key sentence "Create Good Luck is only create circumstances"!and there I was blocked and I wondered if the origin of Good Luck was to create circumstances and good luck only up to me, I was very thoughtful, and even I underlined Sir Winston Churchill’s quotation "An optimist sees the opportunity in calamity and a pessimist, a calamity in an opportunity" and then I noticed and reflected about Bernard Shaw’s quotation:" The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for circumstances they want and if they cannot find them, makes them”.
According to Alex "is paradoxical to think that we are taught to think about things, and we are not taught ourselves thus we are not literate emotionally.

After meditating, researching and noting about this, a light bulb went off in my head and I create circumstances what is it then?,  if I do different things  I will get different results and  I have to do things to create myself Good Luck and not to wait to take everything for granted.I mentally thought  from now on I am going to look for the good luck because I see that in my current situation I have not it, therefore I must act,  to create new circumstances,  not to expect things to happen, I provoke them daily, I was very happy as I could be the creator of my own destiny.

I feel a great ignorant because I just thought that luck came out so I was not acting, because he considered not up to me, then why create new circumstances?, but if my attitude changes, it generates positive thoughts and acts I create new circumstances that will improve my life, I will not mind the fate, my destiny.
Because I am going to be  the creator of my destiny!.

The opportunities are there for everybody, those who expect to get the fate, and they never see them. I must be responsible for as I do and I will not blame others when make mistakes or I encounter problems, because I know it thereby I have the possibility of find the cause of the error and how to solve it.

Having witnessed this clearly,
I consider my mistakes and problems as opportunities to improve and learn and that makes me that adrenaline surge me because my goal is to advance and now I am  clear I know I will achieve! I believe on myself, I'm able to get it, consequently this belief and perseverance will help me succeed, in other words to have good luck.

After reflecting I have come to the conclusion that the durability of good luck depends on me, because I am the one who creates them, so I have to fetch it that they do not bring me it home.I will be generous, this is one of the most important values for me, because I think as much as  you give  the others and myself, I will get more, it is like 'boomerang' effect.

I will not put off until tomorrow what you can accomplish today. If I put off until tomorrow the preparation of my own destiny, maybe the good luck will never arrive. Creating them requires the first step. Otherwise the opportunity would be wasted therefore it will incapacitate to leverage what I have in front of me now. I must be more cautious, careful and discover the little things that are seemingly unnecessary but essential and important.

I must be very alert, because there is always a small detail that reveals the essence of my change, what good luck could be there and the chance is of secondary importance.
According to Alex "Those who only believe in chance, creating circumstances seems absurd. Those who create circumstances, the chance do not care them."

I will not resist or discourage, I will insist, and believe that I will overcome. Although I realize that before I will get success, I will have temporary have frustrations and failures, but I'm not going to give up because I know that behind this is the success.

From today, I am going to create Good Luck! Joining us?
